Significant increase in the incidence of stink bugs in soybean and corn during the 2022/23 season. Production of tequila increased 526% from 1995 to 2022. Sanitary authorities in Chile have suspended imports of mangoes from Peru after detecting quarantine pests. Peruvian exporters claim that the mangoes undergo a process of immersion in hot water, at a temperature of 46° C, for approximately 80 minutes, and this would make the presence of pests impossible.
