Port of Valparaíso exported 50% of the country’s fruit, with almost 840,000 tonnes shipped in 2024. In total, 1,676,000 tonnes of fruit were shipped, an increase of 29% on the previous year. Compliance with the sugar export rules established by the Sustainable Sugarcane Development Law has risen from 45% to 90% following intensified supervision of mills and industrial groups. As of March 14th, there were 2,102 tonnes left to export from the 2013/24 harvest and 2,552 tonnes from 2024/25.
