MAPA Temporarily Suspends Component Registration in SISPA

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) of Brazil announced the temporary suspension of component registration in the Unified Electronic Information, Petition and Evaluation System (SISPA). The measure was established by Notice No. 1, dated October 16th, 2026, and published in the Federal Official Gazette on October 19th.

According to MAPA, the suspension is necessary to implement adjustments to the component registration module, aimed at improving system functionalities and simplifying registration procedures for companies.

During this period, companies must continue exclusively with the migration of technical products, without registering their respective components until the adjustments are completed.

The notice also establishes that the deadlines set by SDA/MAPA Ordinance No. 1631/2026, amended by Ordinance No. 1676/2026, will be revised and republished once the system adjustments are completed. The measure aims to ensure that companies have sufficient time to comply with registration requirements.

MAPA has not yet announced a date for resuming component registration. New guidelines and deadlines will be released once the updated module becomes available.
