- Potassium chloride fertilizer price reaches highest level since January 2008 due to sanctions imposed on Russia. Between February and April, average price was US$ 239/tonne. (Senar)

- Petrobras makes an agreement with the government of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The agreement includes State tax incentives for the company to complete the works on the Nitrogen Fertilizer Unit (UFN-3) before selling it to the private sector. (Petrobras)
- In the first five months of 2022, ports in the state of Paraná had a 14% increase in fertilizer discharge. 4.79 million tonnes of the product were handled, compared to 4.19 million tonnes in the same period in 2021. (Ports of Paraná)
- Senate’s Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Commission will promote two public hearings to discuss Pesticide Bill 1459/2022, which makes the rules for the inspection and use of pesticides more flexible. Proposal was scheduled to be voted at the collegiate meeting on June 9th, but was removed from the agenda until the debates are held. (CRA)

- JBS fertilizer unit in Guaiçara, state of São Paulo, will start sales by the end of the month. The raw material comes from the by-products of poultry and cattle slaughterhouses. The production capacity is 150 thousand tonnes of organomineral fertilizer. (JBS)
- 3,000 L of pesticides smuggled from Paraguay seized on the MS-164 highway in the city of Ponta Porã, State of Mato Grosso do Sul. The cargo was valued at around US$ 594,000. (Highway Military Police)
