  • Águia Fertilizantes awaits a decision of the Court to continue the phosphate project in RS. The company invested around US$ 15 million, plus US$ 5 million for the construction. Request for an injunction from the Federal Public Ministry questioned possible environmental impacts of the enterprise, but it was not recognized, allowing the resumption of the licensing process.   • Fertilizer delivery drops 17.5% in February when compared to the previous year, totaling 2.509 million tonnes. Fertilizer imports are expected to increase by almost 200% in the second quarter. (National Fertilizer Diffusion Agency)
  • Ministry of Agriculture negotiates fertilizers with Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco. In Jordan, the main topic will be the supply of potassium-based fertilizers; in Egypt, the focus will be on nitrogen; and in Morocco, phosphates.   • CMOC Brasil develops new organomineral fertilizer produced through the reuse of tailings that would be discarded in a dam.
