Nutrien staff visits the State of Espirito Santo to accelerate the transition and integration of the company Casa do Adubo, acquired in July. Brazil Potash and Amaggi make agrément for the purchase and sale of potash from the Amazon. Amaggi has committed to purchase 500,000 tonnes/year from the Canadian mining company for a minimum period of 15 years. Amaggi will also have rights to sell 1.9 million tonnes of annual production of the raw material used as fertilizer and will transport 2.4 million tonnes of annual potash production to river ports in the interior of Brazil. Fertilizers imported by the State of Mato Grosso do Sul are being offloaded Porto Murtinho, justifying investments for the Bioceanic Route. Koppert announces investments of US$ 135.52 million in Brazil to expand production capacity, in the next three years. Project began with inauguration of the microbiological products factory in the city of Charqueada, State of São Paulo. “The new formulation site is located in an area of more than 8,000 m² and will produce the entire microbiological line…”, said Danilo Pedrazzoli, industrial director at Koppert. According to Pedrazzoli, the company will invest in three new production sites. In 2022, the company expects revenues of US$ 154.89 million, a growth of more than 100% compared to the previous year. “We believe that, with the expansions, we will raise our market share to around 25%”, said Gustavo Herrmann, commercial director. Cellulose can control fertilizer release into the soil, through microencapsulation, replacing current plastic-based products, according to research performed by UFSCar. A mixture of nanocellulose and fertilizer undergoes a spray drying process, during which the nutrients are encapsulated. 46 tonnes of pesticides and fertilizers were seized, resulting in more than US$ 1.16 million in losses. Operation by MAPA, Federal Highway Police and Federal Revenue seized 10 tonnes of pesticides and 36 tonnes of fertilizers smuggled from China, in the city of Campinas, State of São Paulo.
