Brazil registered 33 biofertilizer products between 2019 and June 2026, developed by 17 companies, including eight approvals in the first 1H26 alone. Amino acid-based products account for 39% of registrations, while formulations containing seaweed extracts represent approximately 30%. According to agribusiness consulting firm 5P2R Marketing de Precisão, this increase reflects the growing of the formal regularization of technologies designed to improve nutrient-use efficiency, root development and plant tolerance to abiotic stress. Agrofuturo Paraguay has joined the ownership structure of Agro Ikemba, a Brazilian B2B platform focused on the sale of generic crop protection products, fertilizers and other agricultural inputs, including slower-moving products and excess inventories. The companies intend to use Paraguay as an industrial, commercial and regulatory base to expand agricultural input distribution across Latin America. Agro Ikemba expects to generate at least US$ 3 million in revenue within six months and cites lower taxes and faster agricultural input registrations among the country’s advantages.
