- União Brasileira de Viticultura (Brazilian Grape Growers Association) and 10 other associations request the “suspension of use and application of hormonal herbicides with 2-4-D in Rio Grande do Sul State until a use exclusion zone is established or a safe and effective system is implemented, with full monitoring and inspection of its use and application. 2,4-D is widely used in soybeans, but grape growers in Rio Grande do Sul State have suffered from drift occurrences, which damage grapevines. - French agricultural research and registration company Staphyt acquires Promip’s services division, entering the local market of agronomic research and development services for third parties. Promip will focus on production and distribution of biological pesticides, used in integrated pest management (Promip)
- Fertilizer prices decrease grain sales margins. In soybean cultivation, fertilizer prices increased 16% in the State of Mato Grosso, between October 2021 and June 2022. In the case of corn, increase was of 33% in the same period, with the grain devaluing by 9%. (StoneX Consultoria)
