 Seeds and fertilizers will show a price decrease in the 2023/24 season

Agricultural Defense Agency of the State of Roraima is renewing pesticide retailers and industries’ registrations. To sell their products, agricultural stores in the State should request re-registration at the State Agency. (Aderr)

By the end of 2023, the Environment Commission should vote on the new rules for bioinputs production, given by Bill No. 3668/2021. Two public hearings on the proposal have already been held. Yara started transporting bulk fertilizers by cabotage in 2022. According to the monthly survey of production costs by the Mato Grosso State Institute of Agricultural Economics, it is estimated that seeds and fertilizers will show a price decrease in the 2023/24 season. Fertilizers, that cost an average of US$ 472.39/ha in December 2022, should be purchased for US$ 383.92/ha in December 2023, an estimated drop of 18.7%.
