Farmers go on strike for 24 hours in 12 cities, calling for an end to the government’s “fiscal voracity” and state interventionism. The main reasons for the protest are the increase in diesel and fertilizer prices, the exchange rate lag, tax pressure on the sector, among other factors. (Rural Confederations of Argentina)

Argentina formalizes agreement with Cuba on agricultural cooperation. Despite the drought in some regions of the State of Mato Grosso, the harvest rate is above average with more than 74% of corn harvested.
