ACT NO. 40, OF SEPTEMBER 1st, 2025
Starting on September 15th, 2025, companies seeking to request the registration of pesticides and related products in Brazil must submit all new registration processes exclusively to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) via the Electronic Information System (SEI/MAPA).
MAPA will be responsible for receiving and distributing the processes to Anvisa, Ibama, and other competent agencies, based on each institution’s technical and operational capacity. In other words, the entire submission flow will be centralized under MAPA.
If a company, from that date onward, submits new requests directly to Anvisa or Ibama, those protocols will not be considered valid for the purpose of queue organization. Only submissions made through MAPA/SEI will be accepted.
All submitted processes will be classified as “protected”, following the restrictions established by Law No. 10.603/2002, which governs the protection of test data and undisclosed information related to pesticides.
