Faesp released a\u00a0report on the prices of agricultural inputs in the State of S\u00e3o Paulo.\u00a0<\/strong>There was an upward trend in the\u00a0prices of dolomitic limestone and gypsum in the State. In October, these products showed a monthly increase of 14.4% and 6.2%, respectively, and an annual increase of 23.2% and 41.2%. There was a 19% reduction in the\u00a0price\u00a0of\u00a0chlorantraniliprole-based insecticide between September and October. Startup Krilltech\u00a0invests in nanotechnology for green fertilizers.<\/strong>\u00a0The company resulted from a partnership between Embrapa and the University of Bras\u00edlia. \u201cOur nanosolutions are capable of supporting plant growth and health, as well as protecting them from abiotic factors, such as drought or water stress\u201d, according to Diego Stone, CEO of Krilltech. Costa Rica\u00a0is the country that uses the most pesticides per hectare in the world<\/strong>, according to FAO, which analyzed 100 countries between 2000 and 2020. Costa Rica has an average use of 23.4 kg per hectare. Banana, coffee and pineapple crops in Costa Rica have high levels of diazinon, paraquat and glyphosate, respectively.
